Marqr

Marqr is an experimental media project created by AustinStyleWatch.com founder Rachel Youens. The idea of the project is to organically learn more about a city, and discover things you never would have found without a real-world hyperlink to more information. The QR codes used in Marqr are powered by Australian mobile marketing firm QMCODES, and provide rich analytical information about how people are using Marqr. The codes, combined with location-based social network alerts, will hopefully reveal new parts of Austin to SXSW attendees.

AustinStyleWatch was founded in 2006 as the city's first street fashion site, and eventually spun off as a daily blog as well. Austin Style Watch has gone on to be featured in Nylon, Glamour, Venus, Austin Monthly, Texas Monthly and Tribeza magazines, in addition to spinning off projects with Expert Village and Current TV. Contribute a prize

We are currently seeking prize submissions for Marqr. This is an innovative way to promote your product at SXSW that actively engages with a fashionable and tech savvy audience. In exchange for your prize contribution you will receive promotion through the Marqr site and Twitter, as well as logo links under the partner's section on the front page of the site.

An advanced option is to have your SXSW event to have its own branded Marqr check in point, complete with a mobile site and laminated Marqr at the event.
